Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks a Digital Systems Engineer to blend systems engineering, architecture, and project management across the lifecycle. You will lead MBSE activities, architect systems in SysML, and ensure traceability from requirements to verification.

Role requires 4+ years in MBSE with Cameo/MagicDraw, DOORS experience, and strong leadership. Onsite in a SCIF with 10–20% travel and active TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace/Systems/Mechanical or related STEM with 4+ years of experience.
• MBSE methodologies and SysML-based tools (Cameo/MagicDraw).
• Experience with block definitions and internal block diagrams and automated docs via scripting.
• Experience drafting and decomposing technical requirement structures (EARS or DOORS).
• Strong communication and ability to lead small technical teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in a controlled area with 10–20% travel.
• U.S. Citizenship and active TS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural capture of high-speed system architectures using SysML in Cameo/MagicDraw.
• Oversee requirements traceability and test artifact mapping across the lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain complex parametric models (Excel, Python, MATLAB) to quantify design impacts.
• Facilitate cross-discipline requirements and open-architecture configuration management.
• Conduct trade studies and briefs evaluating warfighter utility and lifecycle costs.
• Create VTL scripts in Cameo to automate contract deliverables and ICDs.
• Provide technical leadership within a matrixed team.
