Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Digital Systems Engineer to blend Systems Engineering, Architecture, and Project Management across the lifecycle. You will leverage MBSE to guide requirements, architecture, and system integration, using SysML-compliant tools and scripting to quantify design impacts.

Candidate must work onsite in a SCIF environment, travel 10–20%, and possess U.S. Citizenship with an active TS clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a STEM field with 4+ years of experience.
• Proficient MBSE with SysML tools (Cameo/MagicDraw).
• Experience with block definitions and internal diagrams; automated reports scripting in VTL/Python/MATLAB.
• Experience drafting and decomposing technical requirement structures; DOORS helpful.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to lead small technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural capture with SysML views in Cameo/MagicDraw.
• Oversee requirements traceability from design to test artifacts.
• Develop parametric models in Excel/Python/MATLAB to assess design impact.
• Facilitate multi-discipline requirements and open-architecture CM.
• Conduct trade studies and prepare briefs and white papers.
• Create VTL scripts to automate contract deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership within a matrix team.
