Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an Enterprise MBD and DFx Engineer to implement model-based definitions and DFx practices across the enterprise. You will develop processes, standards, and templates in Creo and Windchill, coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure accurate, usable product definitions.

You will embed manufacturability and producibility in engineering-definitions, enabling earlier issue discovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent
• 8+ years of engineering design or model-based definition experience
• Advanced Creo proficiency with MBd annotation and GD&T
• Strong Windchill proficiency and PLM experience
• Knowledge of GD&T best practices and DFx principles
• Familiarity with MBSE and MBd integration
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional teamwork

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve MBD standards, templates, and work instructions for parts and assemblies
• Translate stakeholder needs into practical Creo/Windchill guidance
• Improve machine-readability of product definitions and integrate with PLM/MBE environment
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Inspection, Supply Chain to define downstream needs
• Embed producibility and DFx into engineering practices to catch issues early
• Provide hands-on coaching, training, and documentation on tools and processes
• Support AI-assisted engineering guidance and design checks
