Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks an Enterprise MBD/DFx Engineer to scale model-based definition across the enterprise. You will apply Creo and Windchill to implement standards, templates, and checks, working with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive producibility and design-for-excellence initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on coaching, creating guidance, and embedding MBD practices while exploring AI-enabled engineering assistants and downstream design integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 8+ years in engineering design, systems engineering, or MBd.
• Advanced Creo proficiency with MBD annotations and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with Windchill PLM and release workflows.
• Familiarity with DFx (DFM, DFA) concepts and producibility considerations.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve MBD standards, templates, and work instructions for parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Translate stakeholder needs into Creo/Windchill requirements and ensure downstream usability.
• Advance DFx practices and integrate with PLM and MBd environments.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Inspection, and Supply Chain to define downstream design criteria.
• Lead training, coaching, and adoption of MBD/DFx methods across teams.
