Job summary

Terracon seeks an experienced materials testing technician in Wilmington, NC to perform field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate results to the Project Manager, prepare reports, and maintain equipment and safety standards.

Requires high school diploma and 10 years of relevant experience; NICET/ICC/AWS certifications preferred. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and MS Word/Excel.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection per procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction specs.
• Document findings clearly and submit to PM.
• Plan, schedule, and dispatch technicians to sites.
• Maintain calibration and operation of equipment.
