Job summary

Tamco Tools & Steel is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee procurement, inventory optimization, supplier management, and production scheduling across our growing product portfolio. This role ensures raw materials and finished goods are available to meet customer demand while maximizing inventory turns and capacity utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in purchasing, inventory management, planning or SCM.
• CPSM/CPIM/CSCP certification or actively pursuing certification.
• Experience sourcing internationally and forecasting, capacity planning, optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies to ensure material availability while controlling costs.
• Source and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers to obtain best value in quality, pricing and delivery.
• Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance & lead times.
• Issue and manage purchase orders while proactively resolving supply interruptions.
• Monitor market conditions, raw material pricing and supply chain risks.
• Balance production priorities with demand and capacity for on-time delivery.
