Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a materials/procurement professional to forecast and coordinate engineering, materials, and manufacturing needs with suppliers. You will influence outsourcing decisions and manage demand signals through MRP to reduce inventory exposure.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering, procurement, and production teams, negotiation of supplier terms, and active monitoring of performance to meet cost objectives and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Forms Materials Core Team and coordinates product development process deliverables through matrix management.
• Collaborates with engineering to interpret requirements.
• Sourcing assistance in price and delivery negotiations; may negotiate contracts as needed.
• Monitors supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost).
• Executes commercialization (transition) materials plan.
• Manages materials change control and drives cost objectives.
