Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled Technician - Materials & Process III to join the Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering team in Merritt Island, FL. You will perform material testing in M&P labs, prepare samples, and summarize results for stakeholders while developing standard methods and documentation for laboratory processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in material test labs or similar environments.
• Experience with lab skills: weights & measures, chemical hygiene, safety planning, PPE, contamination control, workload planning.
• Ability to operate manual machine tools (saws, routers, etc.)
• Proven ability to drive project execution to meet dates
• Customer-focused with strong verbal and written communication
• Continuous improvement mindset; optimization always
• Willingness to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces
• Ability to work with chemicals and hazardous materials
• Willingness to work off-hours and overtime as needed
• U.S. citizen, national, or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing per standard industry methods in Development and Load Frame labs.
• Machine and prepare laboratory samples for testing.
• Summarize, document, and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Develop standard methods, training materials, and documentation for lab processes.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in laboratory analyses.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Identify new equipment to expand capability and improve responsiveness.
• Safely handle hazardous systems containing chemicals, heat, or high pressure.
