Job summary

Blue Origin Engines seeks a materials and process engineer to develop and qualify engine materials and processes for advanced propulsion hardware. You will partner with design, manufacturing, and process engineers to select materials, qualify processes, and implement cost-saving improvements across development and production lifecycles.

Qualifications

• 9+ years direct experience in materials and processes.
• Experience providing M&P guidance across product lifecycle.
• Knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify materials and processes for engine applications.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and process engineers to qualify materials.
• Lead material selection and trades for new designs.
• Identify and apply mature processes to manufacturing and develop quality measures.
• Develop materials test plans for selected materials and assemblies.
• Own process and repair qualification across development and production.
• Identify opportunities for cost and lead time reductions.
