Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Materials Planning, SIOP to join our Production Control organization in El Segundo, CA.

The role focuses on material requirements planning, shop floor control, and ensuring alignment between material availability, production schedules, and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience, proficiency with MRP/ERP, and a background in manufacturing or logistics.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Experience in manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, planning, scheduling, material tracking, or other production driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet contract requirements
• Releasing purchase requisitions to procure materials based on MRP, master production schedule, and inventory position
• Preparing work order releases based on a master production schedule, shop capacity and program priorities
• Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed
• Working daily to confirm material supply and demand
• Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build
• Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions and taking corrective actions
• Conducting inventory checks and reconciling the system
• Performing movement of material to and from the warehouse, factory, pack/ship, and or other areas as needed.
• Accountable for achieving organizational Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) for the assigned program areas
• Support and or lead weekly program and factory meetings.
• This is an onsite position in El Segundo, CA.
