Job summary

Raytheon, based in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Materials Planning, SIOP to join the Production Control organization.

The role focuses on controlling supply and demand, transacting in MRP/ERP systems, and aligning material availability with production schedules and contractual requirements. The candidate will collaborate with operations, factory, supply chain, engineering, and quality to drive program execution and maintain system health through KPI-driven metrics.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, planning, scheduling, material tracking, or other production driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and coordinate program requirements to ensure controlled flow of materials and services.
  • Release purchase requisitions based on MRP and inventory position.
  • Prepare work order releases based on master production schedule and priorities.
  • Provide status of work in progress and material availability to support production.
  • Work daily to confirm material supply and demand.
  • Collaborate with program support to resolve shortages and issues.
  • Report on and troubleshoot MRP system exceptions and take corrective actions.
  • Conduct inventory checks and reconcile the system.
  • Move material to/from warehouse, factory, pack/ship as needed.
  • Aim to achieve KPIs for assigned programs and support weekly meetings.

Raytheon is seeking Sr. Analyst, Materials Planning, SIOP to join our Production Control organization in El Segundo, CA. This critical role will be responsible for Supply and Demand controlling activities. The successful candidate will transact and execute in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Shop Floor Control systems to ensure alignment between material availability, production schedule, and contractual requirements. This role will work closely with operations, factory, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams, to ensure effective program execution. In this role, the ownership and use of metrics will be key to maintain system health and drive the level of performance that will support customer expectations.

This job requires critical thinking, effective and concise communication to facilitate meetings, and reports relating to material availability. This position requires integrity and tact in driving solutions and performance of various functional areas to achieve organizational and program objectives in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do
  • Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet contract requirements
  • Releasing purchase requisitions to procure materials based on MRP, master production schedule, and inventory position
  • Preparing work order releases based on a master production schedule, shop capacity and program priorities
  • Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed
  • Working daily to confirm material supply and demand
  • Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build
  • Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions and taking corrective actions
  • Conducting inventory checks and reconciling the system
  • Performing movement of material to and from the warehouse, factory, pack/ship, and or other areas as needed.
  • Accountable for achieving organizational Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) for the assigned program areas
  • Support and or lead weekly program and factory meetings.
  • This is an onsite position in El Segundo, CA.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, planning, scheduling, material tracking, or other production driven environments.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with Special Program Access.
  • Experience with Kinaxis, CMES or similar software.
  • Experience in material planning and order execution.
  • Experience with MS Office 360 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook/Teams).

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
