Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation in the United States seeks a Principal Materials & Systems Lead to drive lean material flow across manufacturing and warehousing. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with eight (8) or more years of experience within in Supply Chain, Materials, or a related field.
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading others – directly or through project work.
• Purchasing experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Experience mentoring and leading team members through direct reporting relationships or project work.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
• Occasional travel required; typically less than 25%.
• Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement by engaging with segment business leaders to drive segment compliance with the corporate material flow strategy.
• Maintain the MRP report card including inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory levels, E&O inventory reduction.
• Lead material flow projects to optimize Kanban, PFEP, and pull systems.
• Develop cost reduction initiatives to support the material flow strategy.
• Coordinate with GPSC and SIOP teams on future build schedules.
• Automate business processes to reduce information waste and inventory waste.
