Job summary

Beehive Industries in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Lead Material Planner for Supply Chain Lifecycle Management. You will own the intersection of engineering change and supply continuity, translating ECN and BOM revisions into a production-ready supply plan.

You'll collaborate with Engineering, Configuration Management and Procurement to set effective dates, phase-ins, and handle obsolescence, ensuring the right part and revision are available when needed.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in supply planning, materials planning, or configuration/change management within manufacturing.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge of ECO/ECN/ECR processes and BOMs/routings/part masters.
Experience with MRP/ERP and PLM systems (ION, SAP, Oracle, Windchill, Arena).
Strong attention to detail and ability to trace changes across BOM levels.
Comfort with ambiguity and making judgment calls in early-stage change processes.
Strong Excel skills for manual tracking tools when systems fall short.
Clear, proactive communication; ability to raise supply risk before crisis.
Experience in startup/scaling manufacturing is a plus.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

Own supply planning impact assessment for all engineering changes affecting purchased and manufactured parts.
Coordinate with Engineering, Configuration Management, Procurement, and Operations on dates, cut-ins/outs, and phase-in/phase-out timing.
Communicate disposition of obsolete and excess inventory; coordinate rework, scrap, or return-to-supplier actions.
Review BOM structures and revision data in the MRP system; set baseline planning parameters for new products.
Evaluate supply risk of proposed changes; flag long-lead components and open PO conflicts.
Coordinate with procurement on change notifications, requalification timing, and transition inventory.
Track open ECOs/ECNs against a change calendar; ensure timely supply actions.
Support New Part Introduction and prototype builds by aligning supply plans with configuration baselines.
