Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Lead Material Planner to own the intersection of engineering change and supply continuity. You will translate ECNs and BOM revisions into actionable supply plans, protecting inventory while ensuring the right part and revision are available on schedule.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in supply planning, materials planning, or configuration/change management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Working knowledge of ECO/ECN/ECR processes and how they flow through BOMs, routings, and part masters.
Experience with MRP/ERP and/or PLM systems (ION, SAP, Oracle, Windchill, Arena, or similar), including part revision control.
Strong attention to detail and ability to trace changes across multiple BOM levels.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity during early-stage change processes.
Strong Excel skills for building and maintaining manual tracking tools.
Clear, proactive communication; comfortable escalating supply risk.
Experience in a startup or scaling manufacturing environment is a plus.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Own supply planning impact assessment for all engineering changes affecting purchased and manufactured parts, from initiation through full implementation.
Partner with Engineering, Configuration Management, Procurement, and Operations to determine effectivity dates and phase-in/out timing.
Communicate disposition of superseded, obsolete, and excess inventory from part changes; coordinate rework, scrap, or return-to-supplier actions.
Review BOM structures and part revision data in the MRP system for impact from ECRs; set baseline planning parameters for new products.
Evaluate and communicate the supply risk of proposed changes before approval; flag long-lead components and open PO conflicts.
Coordinate with procurement on change notifications, requalification timing, and transition inventory.
Track open ECOs/ECNs against a change calendar; ensure actions execute on schedule.
Support NPI and engineering prototype builds by confirming supply plans reflect current baselines.
Provide configuration/change status and risk visibility into S&OP reviews and change boards.
Identify and help close gaps between engineering change control and supply planning systems.
