Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Lead Material Planner to own the intersection of engineering change and supply continuity. Translate ECN/BOM changes into a working supply plan, protecting inventory while ensuring the right part and revision is available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in supply planning, materials planning, or configuration/change management in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience with ECO/ECN/ECR processes and BOM/routing/part masters.
• Experience with MRP/ERP and/or PLM systems and part revision control.
• Strong attention to detail tracing changes across BOM levels.
• Able to operate in ambiguity during early-stage changes.
• Strong Excel skills for manual tracking when systems fall short.
• Clear, proactive communication and escalation of supply risk.
• Experience in startup or scaling manufacturing is a plus.
• U.S. government security clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Own supply planning impact assessment for all engineering changes affecting purchased and manufactured parts.
• Partner with Engineering, Configuration Management, Procurement, and Operations on dates and phase-in/phase-out timing.
• Communicate disposition of superseded, obsolete, and excess inventory and coordinate actions.
• Review BOM structures and revision data in MRP and set baseline planning parameters across revisions.
• Evaluate and communicate supply risk of proposed changes, flag long-lead components and open PO conflicts.
• Coordinate with procurement on change notifications and transition inventory.
• Track open ECOs/ECNs against a change calendar and ensure on-schedule actions.
• Support NPI and engineering prototype builds by reflecting current configuration baselines.
• Provide configuration/change status and risk visibility into S&OP and change control meetings.
• Identify and close gaps between engineering change control and supply planning.
