Avis Budget Group is hiring a Master Mechanic in Chicago to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability for customers. You will handle engine, electrical, and HVAC systems, with opportunities to mentor peers in a busy shop.

You must have at least 3 years of professional auto repair experience, ASE certification (min 3), and a valid driver's license. On-site work and OEM experience are valued, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with the ability to acquire 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be on-site and cannot be performed remotely.
• OEM experience is preferred and considered a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work, on a wide range of vehicle makes and models with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, air conditioning, and onboard computer systems.
• Work on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles across multiple brands and technologies; act as a technical resource for other technicians.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for customers to get on the road.
