Job summary

Avis Budget Group International seeks a Master Mechanic in Chicago, IL to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, including warranty work, with minimal supervision. You will ensure safety, reliability, and customer readiness using expertise across engines, drivetrains, electrical, and HVAC systems.

You will act as a technical resource, support shop performance, and work on a diverse fleet across brands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3).
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work, on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and onboard computers.
• Serve as a technical resource to other technicians and share best practices.
