Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Lead Martech Engineer to own data-driven customer journeys across channels, combining CDP, reverse ETL, and Braze orchestration. You will define lifecycle signals, build scalable patterns, and collaborate with data and engineering teams to drive retention and personalization.

You will implement reliable data pipelines, governance, and measurement frameworks while mentoring junior engineers and aligning marketing and engineering goals.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Martech Engineer with ownership and execution mindset.
• 7+ years in Martech, Marketing Operations, or Data Engineering.
• Strong CDP & reverse ETL experience.
• Braze or similar lifecycle orchestration platforms.
• Event-driven data architectures.
• SQL and cloud data warehouses.
• Liquid templating or similar personalization syntax.
• Hybrid stack: Email, SMS, Push with identity resolution.

Responsibilities

• Own the Martech Platform & Journey Orchestration, design scalable cross-channel campaigns.
• Partner with Data Eng to design Customer 360 and use reverse ETL to sync profiles.
• Enable event-driven activation and near real-time personalization.
• Support A/B testing, measurement, and campaign metadata standards.
• Ensure data quality, privacy governance, and compliance (CCPA/GDPR).
• Mentor engineers and partner with Marketing tech teams on architecture.
