Job summary

Young Brothers, LLC seeks a senior Insurance Manager to develop and execute our marine and general insurance programs. You will oversee inland and ocean marine claims, manage risk with brokers and underwriters, and ensure compliance with CMS and regulatory requirements.

You will lead a team, interact with senior management, and implement cost-effective risk strategies while supporting litigation, subrogation, and training initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; post-graduate preferred.
• 10+ years related experience in insurance or related role; marine transportation claims experience is highly desirable.
• Property and Casualty Broker License and/or Associate in Risk Management or Marine Insurance management an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Experience with marine claims rules, regulations, and processes.
• Proficiency with Origami and MS Office suite (Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage inland and ocean marine claims including hull & machinery, cargo, property damage, and third‑party claims.
• Coordinate with insurers, brokers, underwriters, and adjusters to secure favorable settlements.
• Review contracts for insurance provisions and perform claim file audits.
• Lead risk management initiatives and ensure regulatory reporting and CMS compliance.
• Represent the company in mediations, settlements, and subrogation efforts.
