Job summary

Orion Marine Group in the Puget Sound region seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex marine and heavy civil construction initiatives. You will oversee project engineering, drive proposals, and manage costs, schedules and safety for successful delivery.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering/Construction Management and about 8 years of marine construction experience, with strong leadership and client-relations skills. This is a on-site Federal Way position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in civil or marine construction.
• Strong knowledge of project management, procurement, estimating, scheduling, cost control and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management team to ensure successful, profitable projects.
• Provide guidance to superintendents and foremen on marine construction tasks.
• Develop bid proposals for upcoming projects and ensure timely submissions.
• Negotiate contracts and change orders as required.
• Estimate costs including materials, services and labor for upcoming work.
• Procure materials and services from suppliers as needed.
• Interpret project plans and specifications for customers and suppliers.
• Schedule project activities to meet timelines and budgets.
• Interface with project team, suppliers and customers regularly.
• Promote safety and environmental compliance and safe work practices.
