Job summary

Orion Marine Construction in Houston, TX is seeking an Estimator to support critical bid and proposal efforts for complex marine infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on, strategic role ideal for professionals with 5+ years of marine estimating experience who want to make a direct impact on project success from preconstruction onward.

You will lead estimating for bridges, wharves, piers and other marine structures, coordinate with project teams on site investigations, takeoffs, risk review

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years estimating experience in marine construction.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related discipline preferred.
• Willingness to travel and maintain passport.
• Strong computer skills and ability to interface with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bid estimation process for marine construction projects.
• Conduct site investigations with the project sponsor.
• Prepare bid items lists for PM review and cost estimates.
• Perform quantity surveys to develop basis for pricing.
• Coordinate with material suppliers and subcontractors for quotations.
• Enter data into project management system and organize bid data for final review.
