Orion Group Holdings in Hawaii is seeking an experienced Estimator – Marine & Heavy Civil Construction to join our projects team. This role focuses on preparing estimates, quantity takeoffs, pricing, and bid package development for complex marine and heavy civil projects, coordinating with project management, operations, engineering, and suppliers to win competitive proposals.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of estimating experience in marine or heavy civil construction.
• Experience estimating self-performing marine/heavy civil projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, contracts, geotechnical data, and bid documents.
• Proficient with construction estimating software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, quantity takeoffs, pricing for bids and proposals.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Operations, Engineering, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and production cost estimates.
• Solicit quotations and organize bid information for pre-bid reviews.
• Support bid reviews, assess risks and opportunities, and finalize bid packages.
