Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Heavy Civil Marine Construction with at least 3 years in estimating preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology/Management required.
  • Proficient in standard computer software packages.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze plans and specifications
  • Perform site visit(s) and meet with owners and designers if required
  • Prepare take-offs
  • Prepare budgetary estimates
  • Establish means and methods of construction and perform engineering analyses to support means and methods
  • Prepare costs analysis for portions of the projects
  • Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors
  • Prepare construction schedule and perform cash-flow analyses
  • Close out bids and assist in preparation of supporting documentation
  • From time to time, visit projects and prepare cost analyses
