Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. in Long Beach, CA, is hiring a Manufacturing Test Engineer II for Pneumatic Mechanisms & Fluid Assemblies.

You will own test assets across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems and collaborate with design and manufacturing to ensure scalable production testing campaigns. You will drive test sequencing, tooling design, mbOM development, and provide hands-on shop floor support while addressing test issues and feeding design for manufacturability improvements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering or related discipline.
• Experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience authoring test procedures for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience leading investigations of test failures with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, validation, and refinement of test assets and processes across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing partners to ensure production testing campaigns are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
• Lead test sequencing, tooling design or sourcing, and documentation such as mbOM and training.
• Provide hands-on shop floor support and address test issues with upstream feedback for manufacturability.
• Analyze test data to evaluate assembly performance and drive root-cause corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with design, production, supply chain, and quality teams.
