Job summary

Relativity Space is building the Terran R program and seeks an engineer to own and optimize testing of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on the Stage Manufacturing team. You will drive test asset development, validate processes, and work with design and manufacturing partners to ensure scalable production testing.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering, or related field with 3+ years of hardware testing in manufacturing.
• Experience authoring test procedures for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience partnering with design, manufacturing, and production teams to execute tests and investigate failures.

Responsibilities

• Own development, validation, and refinement of test assets and processes across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Lead design integration, test equipment/tooling design, test sequencing, and work order creation for tests.
• Provide hands-on support on the shop floor and address test issues with upstream feedback for manufacturability and testability.
• Analyze test data to evaluate assembly performance and lead root cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with design, production, supply chain, and quality to ensure seamless manufacturing testing.
