Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer II for Pneumatic Mechanisms & Fluid Assemblies to own test assets and drive efficient, scalable production testing across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and production teams to execute tests, improve processes, and analyze results, contributing to Terran R manufacturing. The role emphasizes hands-on shop floor support and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering or related discipline with 2+ years of hardware testing in manufacturing.
• Proven experience authoring test procedures for mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience partnering with design, manufacturing and production teams to execute tests and investigate failures.
• Experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scope test systems and processes with minimal oversight.
• Expert knowledge of safety standards and test hazards with mitigations.
• Hands-on experience in at least two: electromechanical or pneumatic assembly, functional checkouts, integrated testing, leak checking, sensor checkouts, high-voltage systems, high-pressure pneumatic systems, or instrumentation setup.

Responsabilités

• Own development, validation, and refinement of test assets and processes across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems; collaborate to ensure scalable campaigns.
• Drive technical execution of mechanisms and integrated testing from design integration to BOM development and test sequencing.
• Provide technical leadership in workcenter development, guidance on assembly and test operations, safety, tooling, and equipment alignment.
• Provide hands-on shop floor support and address test issues, feeding upstream design for manufacturability improvements.
• Analyze test data to evaluate assembly performance, identify discrepancies, and lead cross-functional root-cause investigations.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with design, production, supply chain, and quality teams to execute manufacturing test processes aligned with goals.
