Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking engineers to own the development, validation, and refinement of test assets for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. You will collaborate with design and manufacturing partners to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable production testing campaigns.

You will provide hands-on support on the shop floor, address test issues, and drive design-for-manufacturability improvements. A BS in a related field and 2+ years of hardware testing experience are expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to author test procedures for mechanical/electrical/pneumatic assemblies.
• Partner with design engineering, manufacturing and production teams to investigate failures.
• Experience designing and managing large-scale test systems and improvements.
• Knowledge of safety standards and test hazards with mitigations.

Responsibilities

• Own development, validation and refinement of test assets and processes across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing to ensure production testing is efficient and scalable.
• Lead mechanisms and integrated assembly testing through design integration, tooling, sequencing and BOMs.
• Provide hands-on support on the shop floor and address test issues with upstream feedback.
• Analyze test data, identify discrepancies and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with design, production, supply chain and quality to ensure aligned test processes.
