Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to own the development, validation, and refinement of test assets for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. You will collaborate across design, manufacturing, and production to ensure scalable testing campaigns and reliable production testing, while driving safety compliance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace/mechanical/electrical/manufacturing engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years of hardware build and test experience in manufacturing.
• Experience authoring test procedures for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience partnering with design, manufacturing, and production teams.
• Experience designing and managing large-scope test systems.
• Knowledge of safety standards and mitigations.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, validation, and refinement of test assets and processes across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Drive the technical execution of mechanisms and integration testing through design integration, tooling, and sequencing.
• Provide technical leadership in workcenter development and safety compliance guidance.
• Provide hands-on support to shop floor and address test issues while feeding design for manufacturability ideas.
• Analyze test data to evaluate assembly performance and lead root cause investigations.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing test processes.
