Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in medical device manufacturing to fill a Senior Maintenance Technician role located in Minneapolis, MN. This 100% onsite position focuses on maintaining a wide range of production equipment and supporting installation and repair activities to keep production on schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with AA or two-year technical degree preferred, and 5+ years of maintenance experience (or 15+ years without degree).

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience with an AA or two-year technical degree or 15+ years without an AA or two-year technical degree.

Responsabilités

  • Maintain production equipment to peak operating efficiency with minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate maintenance with area lead according to production build plans.
  • Make recommendations and participate in process and equipment changes/improvements.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) during equipment malfunctions.
  • Provide project support for area lead and engineers.
  • Replace motors, fans, VFDs, and read schematics to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Coordinate tooling and equipment repair with suppliers as needed.
  • Train personnel on troubleshooting and minor machine repairs.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory for corrective maintenance.
  • Communicate handoffs with maintenance teams.
  • Identify quality issues for investigation and disposition.
  • Follow safety regulations and promote safety culture.

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in medical device manufacturing for a Senior Maintenance Technician.

Senior Maintenance Technician

Location: Minneapolis, MN (100% onsite)

Pay: $36 - $40/hour

Duration: Direct Hire

Shift: 1 st Shift with occasional on-call weekend rotation (once trained in)

Position Overview

This position is responsible for performing various equipment maintenance and repair activities on a wide spectrum of machines. This is a key position for maintenance and manufacturing equipment installations and operation resolutions. It has impact on the ability of manufacturing to meet its production schedules.

Major Areas of Accountability
  • Ensure that all assigned production equipment is maintained at peak operating effectiveness with minimum downtime (within established budgets/costs)
  • Co-ordinate maintenance with area lead according to production build plans
  • Make recommendations and participate in process and equipment changes/improvements
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) during equipment malfunctions.
  • Provide project support for area lead and engineers
  • Will replace motors, fans, VFDs, and read schematics to work through various machine issues
  • Coordinate tooling and equipment repair with supplier(s), as needed
  • Train other personnel on trouble shooting and minor machine repairs
  • Maintain supply of spare parts for corrective maintenance activities
  • Communicate/perform effective handoffs with off-going and on-coming maintenance techs and teams
  • Identify quality issues that need further investigation and disposition
  • Follow all relevant safety regulations and promote a positive safety culture
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required, AA or two-year technical degree in relevant discipline preferred.
  • 5+ of maintenance experience with an AA or two-year technical degree or 15+ years of maintenance experience without an AA or two-year technical degree
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work with a variety of machinery and equipment
  • Capable of reading and interpreting specifications/prints
  • Must work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Able to follow procedures and adhere to safety practices
  • Troubleshooting knowledge and skills
  • Experience with pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical machinery
  • Ability to operate lathes and milling machines to fabricate precision parts for support and repair
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Working knowledge of QSR and ISO regulations
  • Basic computer skills
