Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for a medical device manufacturer in Little Canada, MN. You will support and continuously improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production goals while boosting productivity and quality.

Responsibilities include leading process improvements, solving line down issues, maintaining production status, and driving CAPA and quality initiatives with cross-functional teams. A strong problem-solving mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience applying DMAIC, A3, Gage R&R, Cp, Cpk and SPC to improve processes.
  • Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Visual Workplace to improve quality and throughput.
  • Ability to lead project efforts aligned to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (including CAPA ownership).
  • Experience generating and modifying manufacturing process documentation.

Job description

Our client, a medical device manufacturing organization focused on electrophysiology (EP) innovation, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering function supporting production teams and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will bring a strong drive to improve processes, a practical problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver quality and productivity improvements.

What's the Job?

  • Support and continuously improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.
  • Proactively seek out improvements and solutions to quality and productivity issues.
  • Support production by responding to line down issues and other manufacturing concerns raised by manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain and manage production status and statistics information for assigned product lines (production line owner).
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment to reduce downtime and improve throughput.

What's Needed?

  • Experience applying manufacturing improvement tools such as DMAIC, A3, Gage R&R, Cp, Cpk, and SPC.
  • Understanding of manufacturing concepts including Value Stream mapping, 5S, and Visual Workplace to improve quality, labor efficiency, and throughput.
  • Ability to lead project efforts aligned to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost priorities (including CAPA ownership).
  • Experience generating and modifying manufacturing process documentation.
  • Background in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical, or a related Engineering area.
