Manpower is seeking a Medical Assembler in St. Paul, MN for 1st shift (7am-3:30pm, M-F) with a pay rate of $18.75 per hour.

This role requires ensuring proper documentation for cell operations, following safety guidelines, and participating in continuous improvement efforts to meet quality and profitability targets. Candidates should have at least 6 months of experience in a medical or regulated production setting, be able to read procedures, and operate a microscope for a portion of the day.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience in medical or regulated production environments.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures at a 7th grade level.
  • Ability to operate a microscope 50%–90% of the workday.
  • Ability to use electronic data capture systems and computer software.
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle small components.
  • Ability to work OT on Fridays and Saturdays.

  • Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.
  • Be able to clearly communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
  • Positively represent the company during tours by demonstrating techniques and sharing appropriate information.
  • Positively represents and supports the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, such as tours.
  • Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes to achieve quality and profitability metrics.
  • Perform routine/preventative maintenance on applicable equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize accidents.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure traceability and quality.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Participate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager in setting and monitoring goals and metrics.
  • Support divisional initiatives related to QMS, EMS, and regulatory requirements.

  • Previous medical device, manufacturing, or assembly experience is helpful
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures at a 7th grade level; understand and follow verbal instructions at a 7th grade level
  • Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages
  • Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance
  • Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts
  • Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use microscope 50% - 90% of work day based on line assignment
  • Ability to work OT on Fridays and Saturdays based on business needs
