Job summary

Celgard, LLC, a leader in membrane technology for lithium-ion batteries, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Tech for the Concord, NC night shift. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and operates on a 12-hour night schedule with a 2-2-3 pattern in a 24/7 plant.

You will ensure safety, quality, and throughput, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and hands-on equipment operation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of industry experience in plastics, film, battery or polymer coating manufacturing.
• Commitment to safety, quality and attendance.
• Ability to operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer skills and ability to learn different software programs and scanners.
• Ability to learn new processes, equipment, and software systems quickly.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate film manufacturing and processing equipment including extruders, laminators, ovens, depositors, slitters, coaters, and mixers.
• Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments.
• Maintain safe, environmentally sound habits and a clean work area.
• Keep logs and interface with software for material transactions, traceability, process control, and on-line inspection.
• Perform routine optical inspections and product quality tests per specifications.
• Train new and current employees and participate in cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and safety guidelines.
