Northrop Grumman’s Manufacturing Operations Engineering team seeks a Principal Manufacturing Project Engineer 3 for the EMIT cell near the Baltimore area. You will lead a group of product lines, coordinating with shop floor, program office, and customer support teams to ensure performance, quality, and cost targets are met.

Responsibilities include driving root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to sustain manufacturing readiness.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related STEM area and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience or a minimum of 3 years with a MS degree.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing or leading projects and/or people.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Fluency in MS Office software applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the main point of contact for all manufacturing engineering related activities for your product.
• Monitor product performance, quality, delivery, and cost metrics; highlight detractors and gather resources to resolve them.
• Collaborate with process/test engineering and other functional groups supporting shop floor, program office, and customer.
• Drive root cause corrective action efforts.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities; create solutions and lobby for funding.
• Review and handle product on the shop floor.
• Lead communications outward from the shop floor, via yield meetings and reports.
• Coordinate between non-deliverable hardware requestor and manufacturing operations/engineering.
