Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer 2 for the Advanced Micro-Electronics Cell (AMEC) near the BWI Airport in Maryland. The role oversees a product line through manufacturing, monitoring performance, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will collaborate with process engineering, shop floor, and program management to drive corrective actions and cost reductions, while coordinating with multiple functions to ensure readiness and smooth transitions to production.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or related STEM field; minimum 2 years manufacturing experience or 1 year with MS degree.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
US Citizenship is required and ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for manufacturing engineering activities for assigned product lines.
Monitor product performance, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
Collaborate with process engineering, shop floor, and program management to drive root cause corrective actions.
Support manufacturing readiness reviews and cost documentation.
