Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer to be based onsite in Baltimore, MD. You will shape and execute the Product Line strategy across NIC, advising on capital projects and MTA/IRAD efforts.

You will collaborate across disciplines to drive producibility, automation, and digital transformation, guiding manufacturing readiness and cost modeling throughout the program lifecycle. A BS in a related field and 8+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM field and 8 years of experience (6 yrs with a Master’s).
Experience with AESA, semiconductor tech, PCB fabrication, SMT, and RF materials.
Experience with program life cycle, NCTA, CRAD, and Capital projects.

Responsibilities

Engage NIC during pre-proposal, proposal and early execution to optimize processes.
Develop a Manufacturing Plan for each program phase and assess readiness (MRA).
Lead automation design and cost modeling activities; support DoCost efforts.
Drive digital transformation of MSE work products for efficient planning.
Identify producibility gaps and develop Manufacturing Maturity Plans (MMP).
Ensure execution readiness for NIC programs in factory and supply base.
