Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Senior Advanced to drive manufacturing strategies, optimize processes, and implement cutting-edge technologies at the Torrance, CA facility on a hybrid schedule after 90 days onsite.

You will lead manufacturing optimization efforts, collaborate with engineering and sourcing, manage MRL items for IPDS, and mentor team members while ensuring safety and quality across production. Experience with NX is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited technical discipline.
• Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, process optimization and lean manufacturing.
• Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
• Familiar with NX or similar CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Manage Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) items to meet IPDS goals.
• Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Interface with Engineering and Sourcing to identify Suppliers meeting capacity, cost, and capability goals.
• Identify and manage new product assembly, test, or tooling Capital needs.
• Drive DFM activities (Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Lean).
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
