Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm helping private equity clients improve operations, reduce costs, and drive EBITDA growth. This role sits in A&M’s PEPI practice and involves hands‑on assessment of manufacturing and distribution operations, data review, and transformation planning.

You will lead teams, develop cost-improvement plans, and oversee delivery quality while collaborating with diverse stakeholders. A Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in manufacturing and/or distribution functions.
• Deep functional expertise in Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations & SI&OP, Footprint optimization, Manufacturing strategy, CapEx planning, Manufacturing 4.0/IIoT, Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, and Value Engineering.
• Excellent fact‑gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Experience designing and leading change/communications strategy.
• Previous strategy and change management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of a target’s manufacturing and distribution operations—organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing, and team capability.
• Evaluate the maintainability and operability of production facilities.
• Review current and historical data to understand efficiency & capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts, and detailed production numbers.
• Provide shop floor insights by talking with employees and customers and reviewing all available data.
• Identify potential cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing or consolidation of facilities.
• Develop transformation plans to drive proposed changes and identify key risks and mitigation strategies.
• Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day‑to‑day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
