Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Senior Associate in Operations & Manufacturing within its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice. This role focuses on manufacturing and distribution improvements for mid-market to large cap PE clients across the U.S.

You will lead complex engagements, identify cost savings, and drive transformation initiatives to enhance portfolio company value. You will work with PE leadership to design and implement actionable plans, leveraging A&M’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of professional experience, with at least 4 years in manufacturing and/or distribution.
• Deep functional expertise in manufacturing and/or distribution with process improvement focus.
• Experience in change management and strategy execution.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large, complex client engagements in operations and manufacturing for private equity clients.
• Analyze target operations, design and implement transformation plans.
• Identify cost-improvement opportunities via lean improvements, outsourcing, or facility consolidation.
• Lead and manage teams and day-to-day client relationships to ensure high performance.
• Develop and drive actions to improve EBITDA and operating metrics for portfolio companies.
• Provide shop-floor insights through data and stakeholder interviews.
• Oversee quality and timely delivery of project deliverables.
