Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Senior Operations professional to join our PEPI practice in the US, focusing on manufacturing and distribution optimization for middle‑market and large‑cap firms. You will lead analyses, design actionable improvements, and support implementation across sites.

The role emphasizes lean, supply chain enhancements, transformation planning, and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in manufacturing and/or distribution functions.
• Deep functional expertise in Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations & SI&OP, Footprint optimization, Manufacturing strategy, CapEx planning, Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, Value Engineering.
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Previous strategy and change management experience.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of target’s manufacturing and distribution operations—organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing, and team capability.
• Evaluate the maintainability and operability of production facilities.
• Review current and historical data to understand efficiency & capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts, and detailed production numbers.
• Provide shop floor insights by talking with employees and customers and reviewing all available data.
• Identify potential cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing or consolidation of facilities.
• Develop transformation plans to drive proposed changes and identify key risks and mitigation strategies.
• Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day‑to‑day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
