Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks an Associate in Operations & Manufacturing to lead and deliver large, complex client engagements within the PEPI team, collaborating with private equity leadership to design and implement improvements across manufacturing and distribution. Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing and/or distribution functions.
• Deep functional expertise in at least one of: lean, Six Sigma, CapEx planning, Manufacturing 4.0/IIoT, or value engineering.
• Excellent fact‑gathering and analytical skills, including process mapping and quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of target's manufacturing and distribution operations (organization, capacity, efficiency, planning, warehousing, team capability).
• Evaluate maintainability and operability of production facilities.
• Review data to assess efficiency, capacity, equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts, and production numbers.
• Provide shop-floor insights by engaging with employees and customers and reviewing data.
• Identify cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing, or facility consolidation.
• Develop transformation plans to drive proposed changes and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee quality of deliverables and manage the team and day-to-day relationships.
