Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Operations in Decatur, AL. You will lead, coach and develop Team Leaders and hourly production staff to drive safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements across the value stream.

You will oversee staffing, daily plan reviews, standard work deployment, and daily performance boards to ensure rapid problem solving and sustained gains. Strong leadership and Lean/Six Sigma experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• BS/BA degree in engineering, supply chain, or business.
• Six Sigma certification preferred; Lean manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to coach Team Leaders and hourly staff to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee manufacturing area performance and continuous improvement.
• Coach Team Leaders and hourly team members to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
• Align area metrics with department goals and manage staffing and start-up.
• Facilitate daily meetings, escalation processes, and standard work deployment.
• Ensure adherence to Lean practices and 5S standards.
• Support cross‑functional PIEs and Kaizen events.
