Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, in Decatur, AL, is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Quality (Floor Leader) to provide strategic and operational leadership for plant quality performance, compliance, and continuous improvement in a high-volume environment.

You will lead the Quality Floor team, drive CAPA, standard work, and data-driven improvements, partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supplier Quality to reduce defects, scrap and cost of quality while strengthening process

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience with manufacturing quality/NPI quality projects and process improvement.
• Experience with product and process Quality Management System development and implementation.
• Previous team and project leadership, including goal setting and accountability.
• Must be skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for plant quality performance and continuous improvement.
• Lead the Quality Floor team and oversee production quality, testing, MCP auditing, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Drive problem solving, root cause analysis and CAPA to reduce defects and scrap.
• Strengthen process controls and standard work to improve reliability and cost of quality.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality and cross-functional teams.
