Job summary

Chobani’s Norton Shores MI plant seeks a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations to lead safety, quality and efficiency. This role drives Lean improvements, capacity planning and KPI governance with cross-functional partners to meet demand and growth.

The candidate will build leadership capacity, manage transformation initiatives, and ensure GMP compliance while delivering strong business results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, manufacturing, business, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience; fast-paced, multi-SKU environment preferred.
• Spend significant time on the production floor and interact with employees at all levels.
• Experience leading site transformation; strong leadership and accountability.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems and continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight to Norton Shores MI plant operations.
• Lead initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, quality and performance.
• Develop managers and supervisors; establish expectations and succession plans.
• Identify and implement process optimization, cost reduction and waste elimination.
• Champion Lean and standardized processes for consistent operations.
• Partner with Sales & Operations Planning to align production with demand.
• Lead capacity and workforce planning to meet current and future demand.
• Establish and monitor KPIs: safety, quality, productivity, OEE, downtime, schedule attainment.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain rigorous quality standards.
• Oversee capital projects and operational readiness; ensure GMP compliance.
