Job summary

Chobani in Michigan is seeking an Extraction Manager - Processing to lead the Extraction operation, drive safe, quality, and continuous improvement, and develop a high-performing team across shifts.

You will partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and Planning to deliver reliable processes, strengthen standard work, and use data to close gaps, while ensuring compliance with GMPs and SQF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience in manufacturing/operations.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in food, beverage, manufacturing, processing, or related operations.
• Experience coaching, developing, and holding teams accountable in a production/plant environment.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety, SQF or similar quality systems, sanitation, and plant safety practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Experience creating or sustaining SOPs, work instructions, training tools, or process controls.
• Ability to communicate clearly across hourly, salaried, technical, and leadership audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement: identify waste, simplify processes, and improve department systems.
• Facilitate root cause analysis, process mapping, 5S, standard work, and Kaizen activities.
• Translate opportunities into practical improvement plans with owners, timelines, and measures.
• Develop and track KPIs to measure department performance and progress.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to support equipment reliability and startup readiness.
