Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Michigan to lead all plant maintenance, facilities, and utilities, ensuring peak efficiencies and food safety. You will direct capital engineering projects and manage a maintenance team with a supervisor, while enforcing GMPs and safety.

The role requires five years in food plant maintenance, strong PLC/controls knowledge, and SAP familiarity. You’ll collaborate with vendors and internal teams to optimize performance and compliance across plant

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field is preferred.
Minimum five years' experience in food plant maintenance.
Must be computer literate; proficient with CAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
Must have understanding of PLC and logic controls for high-speed equipment.
SAP experience in production environment is a plus.
Basic asset reliability knowledge and accounting knowledge required.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
Serve as back up in the absence of Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate within established maintenance budget and monitor expenditures.
Assist with planning and cost estimates for annual and longer-term capital budgets.
Oversee capital plan including engineering design and project management with internal/external resources.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and all permits; direct building operations.
Establish criteria for assessing quality of work by employees and contractors.
Supervise work through reviews, site inspections and vendor coordination on electrical, HVAC, and control systems.
Investigate facility conditions and recommend improvements to meet needs.
Lead projects and facilities administration, including large construction projects and personnel.
Interact with all levels of the organization.
Maintain excellent written and verbal communication and project scheduling.
Respect construction practices, standards, codes and regulations.
Maintain maintenance and repair programs with thorough follow-up.
Follow safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
