Job summary

Chobani is seeking an Extraction Manager - Processing in Norton Shores, MI to lead the Extraction operation, drive continuous improvement, and develop the team. You will coach leaders and operators, strengthen daily management systems, and use data to close gaps in safety, quality, and productivity.

Work with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to ensure reliable execution and scalable processes for high-quality coffee products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, operations, engineering, business, food science, or related field preferred; equivalent leadership experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in food, beverage, manufacturing, processing, or related operations.
• Experience leading teams in a production/plant environment with coaching and accountability experience.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety, SQF or similar quality systems, sanitation, and plant safety practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven improvement.
• Experience creating or sustaining SOPs, work instructions, or process controls.
• Ability to communicate across hourly, salaried, technical, and leadership audiences.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and follow-through in fast-paced manufacturing.
• MS Office; SAP or similar enterprise system experience preferred.
• Willingness for flexible hours including off-shift/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead Extraction and Continuous Improvement to build a culture of excellence across people, process, and product.
• Identify waste, simplify processes, and improve department systems through structured improvement activities.
• Develop and track KPIs; translate opportunities into actionable plans with owners and timelines.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to support production schedules, inventory accuracy, and readiness.
• Coordinate processing, ingredient flow, and safety/quality standards; drive timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Maintenance/Engineering for equipment reliability and startup readiness.
• Ensure GMPs, SQF, and EHS requirements are met; maintain SOPs and training materials.
• Lead and develop extraction team members, set clear daily expectations, and provide coaching.
• Support staffing, onboarding, and employee development across the department.
