Job summary

Keel is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to lead manufacturing operations in our Michigan facility. You will direct a team of supervisors, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement using Lean practices.

The ideal candidate has a engineering-related degree and 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, including ERP systems and reading blueprints. Strong problem-solving and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Finance, Materials or related field from an accredited college.
• Minimum of 7 years of management experience in manufacturing/production settings; steel plate cutting and forming preferred.
• 7 years supervisory/managerial experience; organizational planning and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of EH&S requirements in a manufacturing setting; reading blueprints.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacturing operations through a team of functional supervisors and lead associates.
• Ensures health and safety of all associates and compliance with OSHA/IOSHA standards.
• Improves efficiency of manpower, materials, and machines; drives on-time delivery.
• Develops and manages Lean manufacturing and cost-reduction programs.
• Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and meet customer needs.
• Provides detailed reports to VP of Engineering.
