Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a qualified professional to drive plant and facility layout programs for global manufacturing across EC2, ML, and Storage platforms. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams of engineers, operations, and automation specialists to translate capacity plans into end-to-end layouts and improve throughput.

The role requires advanced program management with strong communication skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and a willingness to teach automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Responsibilities

• Translate rack fulfillment capacity plans into data-driven facility layouts across EC2, ML, and Storage product platforms.
• Design factory floor layouts with automation and manual lines and determine buffer sizing and material handling specs.
• Develop and maintain industrial simulation models to identify bottlenecks and optimize throughput.
• Coordinate utility and infrastructure requirements for production zones with facilities and construction teams.
• Manage phased layout plans and produce visual documentation to enable rapid capacity deployment.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational sustaining by owning the factory layout as a living document, collaborating with multiple engineering teams.
• Communicate clearly with executives and cross-functional teams.
• Advocate for teaching Automation to the organization.
• Multitask on several concurrent projects of moderate to high complexity.
