Job summary

Amazon Manufacturing Services seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead planning, coordination, and escalation for manufacturing and assembly operations in the Seattle area. You will stand up and scale operations, develop master schedules, and drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, quality, supply chain, and facilities.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, scalable processes, and strong execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end program planning and execution for manufacturing and assembly operations, defining scope, schedule, resource needs, risk mitigations, and success criteria from initial ramp through steady-state operations.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across manufacturing engineering, quality, supply chain, facilities, and design engineering teams to align dependencies, unblock delivery, and ensure manufacturing readiness for new product introductions.
  • Develop and manage production schedules and capacity plans, balancing near-term order fulfillment with longer-term facility and capability investments to meet product development timelines.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing readiness criteria, launch checklists, and go/no-go gate mechanisms that ensure quality and safety standards are met prior to production milestones.
  • Establish program metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to provide leadership visibility into operational health and program progress.
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor engagements for outsourced services, tooling, and equipment installation—managing statements of work, timelines, and deliverable quality.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and standard work practices that improve operational efficiency, reduce cycle times, and build repeatable, scalable frameworks.
  • Partner with leadership to develop the transition plan for a large-scale advanced manufacturing facility, translating operational learnings into site readiness requirements, staffing models, and launch playbooks.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership through clear narratives, operational reviews, and data-backed recommendations.
  • Capture operational learnings and drive them back into engineering requirements, process documentation, and updated standard work.
