Job summary

Amazon Web Services' Hardware Engineering team seeks experienced Industrial Engineers to own the manufacturing process across an entire family of server products. You will lead layout drawings, material flow, line balancing, standard work documentation and benchmarking to optimize throughput and minimize waste.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing experience.
• 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering work experience with server platforms or on high-tech hardware.
• 5+ years of manufacturing process development.

Responsibilities

• Own the process for an entire family of server/rack products.
• Design and optimize the physical production floor to maximize throughput and balance workloads.
• Perform time/motion studies, line balancing, material flow, workstation ergonomics, capacity modeling and value stream mapping.
• Identify bottlenecks in process and propose solutions to hit capacity needs.
• Conduct benchmarking across multiple sites world wide for throughput and labor productivity.
• Support global operations with regular domestic and international travel (25-50%).
